We currently have opening in the following areas:
1) Head Chef
(Immediate full--time opening.) Base work week:
6:45am-2:45pm M&W-Sat.)
The head Chef is responsible for overall operations of our cafe, which
offers a cuisine of Greek, Mediterranean and Re-invented American
Comfort Foods, salads, etc.
Core responsibility include:
* Prepping and running the line for lunch and breakfast
* Assisting with catering
* Developing new menu items and assisting in menu planning
* Ensuring that cafe standards for food quality, food presentation,
and customer service are constantly met
* Managing food costs & inventory
This position offers great learning and growth opportunity. Line
experience, food knowledge, and culinary training desired
2) Bakery & Cafe Kitchen Assistant
(Immediate full-time opening.)
Base schedule:5-6 days/wk. 5am-1pm.
Off Sundays & Holiday
Great diversity of work! Duties including making daily pastry, assisting
the lead baker and head chef, serving breakfast and prepping for daily
cafe service.
Kitchen and/or bakery experience, as well as a culinary and/or bakery
degree highly desired. Reliability and high personal standards for
quality and consistency a must.
Great growth opportunity for someone interested in a career in the
field.
3) Assistant Manager-Front of the House
(Base work schedule: 10:00am-6:30pm Tuesday-Friday
+ 8:00am-4:30pm Saturday. Hours may be vary depending on factors such
as the season, as well as customer and general staffing requirements.)
We're looking for a fulltime person who loves a fast pace, and is
committed to taking a lead role in delivering top quality customer
service and ensuring smooth operation of the region's premier bakery/cafe.
Duties:
* Provide service to breakfast, lunch and bakery customers
* Consult with customers regarding their catering/bakery needs
* Take catering & special cake/bakery orders
* Provide leadership entire front service staff to ensure consistent
work practices and service levels
Requirements:
* Food service and leadership experience highly desired.
* High personal standards for quality, thoroughness and preparation.
* A collaborative spirit.
* Good organizational and communication skills.
* A passion for serving other people.
* A love of learning and a personal interest in food.
