As a teenage Greek immigrant, Steve Pappas learned
the candy making trade in Fond du Lac WI, then moved to Green Bay to
open Alpha Sweets on Washington St. in the early 1930's.The Alpha Restaurant. In 1943 Steve opened the Alpha Restaurant on Main Street and became known for his fine homestyle food and fair prices. He operated the business with his brother, Ted and wife Mabel. Today, Steve and Mabel's daughter, Mary, owns Alpha Delights with her husband Rick Martens.
